Title: Poly Questions
Post by: 40smith on Dec 07, 2004, 04:53 PM
2 questions..

Someone who recently took a poly said there was a question, "Do you beat animals"?  Is this a relevant q?

Also, if you fail a poly is there any way of a police agency finding out about it without you disclosing it?

Thanks

The question about beating animals seems more likely to have been asked during the pre-test than during the in-test phase. However, if asked during the in-test phase, it would almost certainly be intended as a relevant question.

With regard to your second question, some agencies have information-sharing arrangements, so yes, an agency might find out about a polygraph failure with another agency without your disclosing it.
