Title: too lazy to search for topic
Post by: wonderwmn on Nov 09, 2004, 06:46 AM
Hi.

I'm a student and applied for a summer position w/ the FBI. One of the questions asked whether I had smoked Marijuana w/i the last 3 yrs. I've never smoked cig or MJ ever until last year...when I tried only one puff (which i don't even know how to do) I'm worried that this will affect my polygraph. Is there a way to explain this..or is it better just to try the techniques on this website?

Thanks for your help!

Even your very limited use of marijuana would bar you from FBI employment, because it occurred within the past three years.

And even if you were eligible for FBI employment, I would caution against submitting to an FBI pre-employment polygraph interrogation because of the very high failure rate (on the order of 50%) and the serious consequences of "failing" this invalid test. For more on this, see my article, "Just Say 'No' to FBI Polygraphs." (http://antipolygraph.org/articles/article-032.shtml)
