PRESS RELEASE:

Today, the National Veritas and Agroaphobic Treatment Center of America announced that it has developed a new truth verification device.

"The device uses a revolutionary technology called rhinospecteronomy that detects micro increases in growth of the nose," said Dr. Geppetto Polendina, Lead Engineer for the project.

The device, called Rhinospot is a small round sticky that is affixed to the end of the nose.  If a false statement is given the sticky turns a red color.

He went on to claim that over a six month experimental test run with selected treatment group law enforcement agencies, that the device accurately detected false statements 99.9% of the time, as compared to control group law enforcement agencies using traditional lie detection devices.

"With this new technology, will we effectively end false statements in court, pre-employment screenings and national security investigations.  The world will be come a safer place for all of us," said Dr. Polendina.

Pre-orders of the device began last month and are expected to be in widespread use by the year 2006.  The cost of the Rhinospot  is $2.95.
