Title: what does +3 mean

I recently took a polygraph and i looked over at the paper the guy was scribbling on and at the bottom it had +3 circled on it..    he said i had not been  totaly honest and did i need to tell him any thing that it was my last chance. all i could do was shake my head no and say i had been totally honest can any one tell me what happend???? ???

If the +3 was in fact the bottom line score for the whole examination (and not just the score assigned to one question or one "zone"), then it is likely that the outcome was "inconclusive."
