Title: Alternative Web Browsers
Post by: George W. Maschke on Jul 07, 2004, 04:38 AM
In view of the many serious security flaws in Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser, which many people are using by default, you might want to consider safer, free alternatives.

Firefox is a fast, free, open-source browser that may be downloaded here:

Another alternative is Opera, the latest version of which may be downloaded here:

Those using Mozilla Firefox (http://www.mozilla.org/firefox) may wish to install Jaap Haitsma's "ReloadEvery" extension. This will allow you to automatically reload a web page (for example, this message board) every so many seconds or minutes:

(With Opera (http://www.opera.com), this feature is built-in.)
