I am a 23 year old with a pretty flawless past except for minor use of marijuana 3 years ago and occasional drinking on weekends. The main thing that bothers me though happened to me when i was 20. I was intoxicated at a party and met a girl one thing lead to another and things got way to far out of hand. Later on i found out that she wasnt as old as she said she was, she was 15. It really freaked me out bad, but nothing was ever said of it and the whole thing dropped, no charges, no nothin. I take full responsibility for these actions but was wandering if this would be grounds for a dq. I know that many different agencies have different grounds on the subject, but i never thought of it until the question of, "have u had intorcourse with a minor?" came up on my friends poly test. Just give me some input no criticizm ive had enough. I was just wandering how hard this would hurt me or if i should wait longer to try to get on a police force.

A pot head, drunken, rapist..... now that's what I call "pretty flawless".
I think that there is a little more to the story than what is being told here make sure you have the whole story straight. I know three years is a long time to remember but the truth will make things better.
I understand where your coming from though because no girl is going to tell her real age it happens alot you would be surprised.
Im not sure what many police agencies will think because many of them carry different criteria depending on state laws. Im not a cop myself either but I have heard that some places have a set age around 14 that is the main cut off.
Anyways dont let punks get you down if you are serious about law enforcement believe me people have done far worse things and wear a badge.
That is kinda a good question about age especially if you were 18-20 what if you had a girlfriend younger than 18 or something to that extent because that is common. How do they decide what is acceptable or non-acceptable?
As far as having a girlfriend underage, I was in that situation. My girlfriend and I met in high school, I turned 18 and she was still a minor. It was never a problem with me in any departments...............Perhaps because I was up front and honest...
And as far as that other fella said, I've tested with some departments and yes, the cut off age has always been 14: as in "Have you ever had sex with anybody under the age of 14?" That has been the same question in all departments I've researched......
