Title: Edmonton Police Chief Accusations
Post by: Canadian Crusader on Feb 14, 2004, 10:40 PM
Wondering how many people here are from Alberta, Canada and have been following the accusations levelled at the current Chief of Police for the Edmonton Police Service?  I trust we will find out by the replies to this post.

Apparently he (and a few other officers) are being accused of having sexual relations with prostitutes approximately 20 years ago while being sworn members of the EPS.  The chief is strenuously objecting of course.

Thing is the EPS utilizes the poly for pre employment screening.  Therefore they must believe and trust in its results.  If that is the case why doesn't the Chief of police just step up to the plate, get polygraphed by a neutral, third party polygrapher and clear his name.

It seems so simple to me?  (Yes the tone of that last line was dripping with sarcasm)

Canadian,

I hadn't heard of this scandal until now.

You can rest assured that upon the advise of his lawyer, the Chief will not submit himself to a polygraph examination.  Who knows though......maybe the Chief will succumb to public pressure, and before taking the polygraph exam, become a member of this website to educate himself!   ;D
