Title: Infrared vs Polygraph
Post by: wscook on Feb 03, 2004, 12:10 PM
Has anyone compared the validity of the results of a poly vs the results of infrared?

To begin with I don't think there is any validity regarding the poly nor has any study been done to test the poly to that effect.  Correct me if I am wrong.

Second I believe the infrared method or pupil dilation (different lie detection techniques) is no different than a poly.  They all work under the assumption that spiked autonomous nervous system reactions, flushed face, or dilated pupils are indicators of deception.  I think they are all garbage.  IMHO.
