Title: usss ud
Post by: johnson on Jan 08, 2004, 02:56 AM
I am going to get my associates degree in june. On their website the minimum requirement is a Highschool Diploma. I think they might seek someone with  a 4 year degree, police experience, or military experience. I have a typical college student work history. Ive only had 4 jobs throughout my life. Would I still be considered a serious candidate just with a 2 year degree and no pd or military experience.

I think alot of it has to do with the type of job experience.  I know i don't have any previous military or law enforcement but hope the fact i have been a supervisor and made tough decisions will play into the hiring process.  What type of jobs ahve you had in the past?

Ive basically have had your typical college student jobs. I worked at wendys as a kitchen assistant and at a supermarket where I was responsible for operating the recycling center where customers would redeem there bottles. I would say 85 to 90 percent of my time I would be interacting with customers.

I also did an internship for my college working at the Empire State building doing filling stuff.

Being that This is my experience, Would the secret service consider me a serious candidate like a regular PD would. What are they looking for.
