Title: Poly on TechTV
Post by: bubba on Dec 19, 2003, 02:50 PM
Just thought I'd let those that didn't know. On Techtv.com on the Spy school segment they are running a bit called "Truth shall set you free". An expert by the name of Bruce Burgess is going to test their host and try to prove that it is difficult to lie to poligraphers.

Here's the link:

In their followup links they have a testimonial from a guy that applied for the Secret Service and Failed. I wonder if they know about this forum or George's book.

Thanks
Bubba

Bubba,

Saw the show. Interesting mix of fact and fiction. I was especially amused when the examiner called as deceptive the classic control Q: "did you ever cheat in school?" The countermeasure discussion had accurate descriptions of several common techniques but no discussion at all of how a CQT is scored. Hence the CM's were not used at all correctly. Watching the testees apply CM's to the questions claimed as DI was hilarious.
