The time has come. I passed the background investigation and are now waiting for the agency to schedule me for the polygraph. I read and re-read TLBTLD chapters 3 and 4. I believe I have a good handle of identifing control questions and how to apply countermeasures. I practiced baseline breathing and I practiced the anal pucker. I am not comfortable with tounge biting so I will forgo that one. I think I have the behavioral countermeasures down and know how to appear honest. As I mentioned before, I will have to lie in order to get the job I seek. I am not proud of lieing, however, I want this job and I will do everything I can to get it. If I fail the polygraph, then all I can say is I tried. If I pass the polygraph, then I will be able to give my testimony that countermeasures work and the polygraph can be defeated. I will post the results here, pass or fail.
