Title: Paranoid polygraphists
Post by: guest on Oct 08, 2003, 07:50 PM
Why is it that so many polygraphists monitor this board and comment with their "countermeasures are detectable" speeches.  If they are so easy to spot, then why do they spend so much time on this board trying to convince people otherwise.  They are obviously very concerned about the issue or they would not be attempting to scare people into not using them.  I know a girl who just go hired by a department in Nevada and she told me that she completely "stung" her polygrapher during her exam.

And the seat cushion "motion detector" thing is the latest twist on things because it begs the question of "if the polygraph is so good at detecting deception, and countermeasures are so easily spotted/detected by polygraphers, why does there need to be an enhancement to the equipment?"
