I was also DQ'd from my a local PD for my "drug posessions" and from taking $10 from a wallet I found (which I agree was childish and stupid). I only have a beef with my "domestic issues" (prior post) and these so-called "drug possessions." I admitted to the polygraph examiner that I held a "nugget" of marijuana about the size of a penny for about ten seconds. I also admitted to looking at a bong and a pipe.....that's it. Throughout high school and college I have never "used, thought I was using, inhaled, ingested, or in any way experimented with marijuana." EVER. I made this very clear to the polygraph examiner and he said it would not be a problem. What a bastard!! Why would he say that if I was going to get DQ'd? For the life of me what I have explained is not experimentation because I never thought about using Marijuana. What do you guys think, is what I described experimentation? Does that deserve a DQ?
And like I read from many of you posters before, I SHOULD HAVE KEPT MY BIG MOUTH SHUT!!!!! Would they have found out about this, probably not. I am a person of honesty and integrity and my folks always told me that I can never go wrong with the truth. In most cases they are right, but not in becoming a LEO. What a bunch of bullshit. This local PD told me prior to all this that they aren't looking for "saints" and everybody has had problems. All I know is, the people they chose over me must be Mother Theresa and are perfect.
