Title: ATF - Lasik
Post by: ATF Wannabe on Jul 24, 2003, 06:00 PM
What is the reqirement for someone in the hiring process who has had lasik operation. I've had my operation close to a year now and I am 20/20 with both eyes and 20/25 in each eye.  Does ATF accept applicants with lasik and what paperwork is involved if they do.

ATF Wannabe,

Too bad you had the surgery bud.  ATF only takes people with 50/50 vision or worse.  Any chance you can have reverse Lasik surgery?

Suggest you contact ATF and ask them what their vision requirements are.  I'd venture to say that you could appear to be as blind as a bat (not Batman) but if you can put the bullet on the target as it heads down range, then you're good to go.

Batman,

Glad to see that you are now a career counselor and a HR expert to boot.  At least you didn't go vulgar on the poor guy out of the gate.

Batman,
Where the BATF is involved I believe that should read "any target", not "the target";)
