I was watching an Entertainment show today and apparently there will be a show called "Marry my Dad." The premise is that 4 adult siblings are interviewing and doing background checks on single women in order to determine who should marry their dad. The selection process includes a polygraph test.
Just in channel flipping, I've also seen polygraphing being used in determining paternity on day time talk shows.
Any opinions?

Intriguing. Here's an area for someone to do a PhD thesis on, review rape and paternity cases where poly's were given and physical evidence preserved to test the validity of polygraph results. This would take a lot of legwork but could be valuable as genetic tests have taken the uncertainty out of paternity and many rapes.

Yeah, I also liked the fact that sometimes polygraphing was used as an alternative to DNA testing. Real amusing...
PapaBlueMarlin,
Considering that DNA matching is only 99.7% accurate, why not defer to the 100% accurate polygraph test ;)
