Title: state police (civilian labor)
Post by: forsci on Jun 05, 2003, 02:35 AM
I was wondering if anyone could help me.  I have never had to deal with any of these issues.  I am applying to work in a state police crime lab as a forensic scientist.  I am qualified, but I am nervous about the poly test.  I have read and re-read the guide on this site but I have drug use in my history (weed, although recently clean).  I am wondering how in depth this poly will be.  It seems to me that polygraphs for civilian positions would be less painful.

Another issue: I am reading many posts that people exaggereated their responses to the controls and failed.

HELP!

thanx

Oh yes,

another issue.  my credit is nothing to brag about.  These issues are sounding very ominous to me but I really am an intuitive scientist.  I'm just inexperienced working with any law enforcement agency.

thanx again,
