I have been administered two polygraphs at this point, one by a state law enforcement agency and one by a county sheriff's office. I apparently passed the first and was offered employment, however I failed the second test. I recall the polygrapher accusing me of using "breathing techniques" during the test.

When applying for a federal law enforcement agency down the road, such as the FBI, DEA, etc., will my results significantly impact my chances of being hired? Furthermore, does the FBI have access to these results during the course of their background investigation? Do state agencies share these results?
