Thanks for the reply pailryder,

I had admitted everything when the polygraph examiner had questioned me. The BI was going to start after I had finished the poly.

I have done a BI in the military two years before i had gotten out, so i'm pretty sure that the BI would have come back clean. I'm pretty sure there's no derogatory information if someone were to conduct a BI, but the thing is i would like to get my clearance back, and hopefully it (security clearance) won't get denied because i confessed to some things to the poly examiner. Again, thanks for your help.

Did your background investigation reveal the information you intentionally withheld from your application?  Or did it come out only because of the poly?

Hello,

I have served in the Air Force for 4 years and have held a TS/SCI (non-poly). I separated from the Air Force in 2005. After 3 years out of the military, I applied for the police department, which required a poly. I had failed miserably. First, i didn't disclose any of the information that I had told the polygraph examiner on the initial police application, so I believe that I failed without even going through the poly exam.

My main question is, if I were to join the Air Force reserves, would that failed polygraph be enough to deny me a security clearance?

Thanks in advance. :)
