No continuing contact or anything. Just havin fun with the girls in China. ;)

Anyway its weird that the gov. cares so much about being overseas. They even encourage overseas travel on their websites (CIA at least) yet everyone says they get angry about it during the interviews. I understand China is communist so that could be suspicious, but I'm just a student basically.

J3H3,

They will all frown on any outside (non US Citizen) contacts. The exception most likely boils down to the time frames of the contacts and level of influence and relationships with these women.  If they were just some cheap quick flings overseas, then its not a big deal, but if your continuing the contacts, then I would say they,  both (INTEL & FLEO) would most likely disqualify you.
Living overseas will cause a few red flags for them too.

Best of Luck !

Regards

I'm totally ignorant to the intelligence field, but from what I know it looks promising. I'm interested in either federal law enforcement or intelligence.

Overall is it considered more difficult/easy to obtain a job in intelligence than FLE (FBI, DEA, Marshals, etc.)? Would someone fresh out of college (international relations) have trouble obtaining an intelligence job?

Also would CIA, NSA, etc. frown upon it if I spent half a year abroad in China? If I had a girlfriend in China would that hurt me as well as far as employment?

Thanks in advance.
