Then we went out to the back and had some coffee and a smoke and he told me a bunch of stories and gave me alot of advice about the dept and wished me good luck and that I have fun. The meeting started out just as the book "lie behind the lie detector" with the descriptions and "don't lie because we will catch you" line but after we started talking he kinda just dropped the whole charade. He even showed me the printout and let me play with the machine a bit. It was a rather interesting experience but definitely not one I would want to repeat.
