Pseudo Relevant,

Why do you believe this question, if asked in a pre-employment polygraph series, would be relevant? It's specifically worded so as to exclude from its scope the application for employment which is the immediate reason for the polygraph examination.

Is this a control question?

Have you ever lied on any previous applications or interviews??
I assume so since it is very vague and it list 2 choices and also since pretty much everyone overboasts in an interview.

thoughts?

No, this is not a control question. This is a very relevant question for a pre-employment situation. This is a very poorly designed question regardless. Give a countermeasure response on this and your butt will certainly be shown the door.

Where did it appear in the series, and what questions surround it? I agree with Mr. Maschke (of course), but I am curious about my question.

This question seems like one that might be used as a probable-lie "control" question in a pre-employment polygraph interrogation.
