You know, all the questions of a first timer concidering a job like that. Nothing high level, just admin. support and stuff like that.  Any info at all would make my day!!!!!!   ::)

The Associated Press today reports numerous high ranking federal employees that obtained bogus, diploma mill degrees. Sometimes at govt. expense! Here's some excerpts:

QuoteThe Associated Press
Updated: 10:38 a.m. ET May  11, 2004WASHINGTON - At least 28 senior-level federal employees in eight agencies have bogus college degrees, including three managers at the office that oversees nuclear weapons safety, congressional investigators have found.

and this!

QuoteOne of those workers paid $5,000 for a master's degree from LaSalle University, an unaccredited school, the report said. He attended no classes, took no tests and told the GAO his degree was "a joke."

Wonder how all those folks passed polygraphs? Perhaps a certain former APA president can shed some light. ;)

You are so dumb that you think an aphrodesiac is a constipated member of a society from a certain sub-continent.

First, I only ragg on corruption in government which is rampant. You must be a part of that corruption since your hackles raise at  its mention.

Second, I have never ragged on the military per se. I spent my time there during Korea. If you are talking about my statement about Marines guarding the main gate - Sailors and Marines have been rivals every since they Navy was required to take them under our wings.

Third, I am a staunch conservative REPUBLICAN and proud of it.

Fourth, I have not taken the time to learn how to effectively cut and paste. Also, I do not consider your comments as even a smite of criticism.

As for being a fool - Because of hard work and great sacrifice, I have attained the position in life that I can AFFORD to be any kind of fool that want. At 73, I will work rings around your ass any day. My winter  workouts consist of weights from 80 to 170 lbs. Hey, I work in the summers.

Yeah, TB and JB (cute!...twins) especially given there is no such organization.....you have made it abundantly clear that you revel in ragging on the government, the military...and then you call yourself a patriot.....no...just an old fool.....so how come you never said it was a joke until you were criticized for it....I'll bet you are a Democrat too!

I received this joke by email and thought it funny enough to pass along. Guest got his panties in a bunch over it.

Twoblock,

I think that your history might be a bit off.  Check out this link http://www.secretservice.gov/history_beginnings.shtml.

There was an interesting spot on the History Channel about the history as well.

That is indeed an interesting acronym associated with the Federal Air Transportation Airport Security Service.

Almost 150 years ago President Lincoln found it necessary to hire a private investigator, Alan Pinkerton, for protection. (He was murdered anyway BTW). That was the beginning of the Secret Service. Since that time, federal police authority has grown to a large number of multi-letter agencies - FBI, CIA, INS, IRS, DEA, ATF, etc.

Now comes the Federal Air Transportation Airport Security Service. Cain't you see them now? These highly trained men and women in their black outfits with initials in large yellow letters across their backs?
