I do not have anything in particular I need to hide, but am still quite worried about testing a false positive.  While not a nervous person in general, I am one of those people who cannot lie and get nervous while being questioned.  Also I have had some marijuana use in high school which I am planning on disclosing, but I cannot be sure I remember every instance.  If anybody is a candidate for testing a false positive I fear it will be me.

I am looking to see if anybody has a list of law enforcement agencies, preferably in major cities on the East Coast, which do not use polygraph examinations in their hiring process.  I cannot seem to find them on google easily.  Also I would like to know about what would happen if I did end up chancing it and failing a local or state agency what the repercussions would be, aside from a massive waste of time.  I cannot find much credible (I have high standards for this) literature on the topic.  This site seems to mainly warn about failing the FBI exam.

Thank you very much.
