antant00,

I don't know of any countermeasures for manipulating the charts of a CVSA device, though a certified CVSA examiner I know once mentioned that answering with an "I don't give a shit" (pardon the vulgarity) attitude seems to help.

In any event, the behavioral countermeasures described in Chapter 4 of The Lie Behind the Lie Detector should also be helpful in a CVSA interrogation.

I have to take a CVSA shortly....Can I out smart myself with counter measures.....I have just bought a voice analysis system...(cheap) to pactice with. I am reading all that I can on CVSA and the tests....I am not afraid of the truth, but am afraid of letting someone determine my life's direction by guess work,,,no matter how well they feel they can determine my answers through voodoo....hoodoo...I was party to a CVSA test given to a prospective employee, and saw this man destroyed by the machine operator...I have since talked with and read about so many people that swear that they were not lieing or trying to be deceptive in their answers. I would not have been so concerned had I not been witness to a CVSA testing....I am now willing to do what is necessary to pass this test..hook or crook. I honestly believe that if someone can built a better mouse trap, there can be a better mouse produced to beat it....
Law Enforcement..wow you'd think that they'd have more ethics. Just a side note...I attended an ethics class for police officers....wow not alot of ethics given out at that meeting, the instructors were of more liberal thinking and gratuities were acceptable in many forms....almost got phycialy sick during this class...

Anyway, just a little help on taking this test, if you will....I will try to be as preaprded as I possibly can be to take it. If I pass it I may be in a position to help others with this problem down the line....many thanks for your help.

My ethical question....do I or don't I...(use Counter Measures)
I know what is morally right, but it is not a moral situation...
I am not going to be playing on a level field....or an honest one..

Help me....
