Voice stress "testing," like polygraph "testing," is sheer quackery. It has no scientific basis, and the results of this bogus procedure are evidence of nothing. Unfortunately, that won't necessarily stop a law enforcement agency from pointing to the "test" to justify a firing.

Your friends who told you to get a lawyer gave you good advice. Also, if you are a member of a labor union, you could contact your union representative for assistance.

i work in a lock down juvenile facillity, and i was told
by ia that i needed to take this test to clear my name,
because i have been acussed of bring in contraband, and also of having sex with the juvenile boys. i never
got to look at my test or was explained how it worked.
all the guy said is i failed and i was a lier. when i answered no to the questions, about the charges he
said nothing (it was being recored), but raised his hands
for me to say no louder, when other ?'s were ask, that
had nothing to do with the charges, he had me talk normal. is this leagal, and is this test accuret enough
for me to loose my job, because i am innocent of the charges, i was told by my friends to get a lawyer. any
help would be greatly appericated..thanks
