The fact that you now have an FBI HQ file may well show up, though I do not know whether a fire department would be authorized to receive information from your file.

Does the department with which you are applying require applicants to submit to a polygraph "test," too?

I failed FBI poly about 2 years ago..which I'm still amazed at.

I am now looking to get into volunteer Fire department and they run background investigation. Will this failed vodoo, I mean polygraph test show up?
