To Everybody,

As many of you are aware, Kevin Pullum, a convicted murderer, walked out of the LASD Twin Towers Correctional Facility over 10 days ago. This is a major embarrassment to the Sheriff's Dept. You can view this story at:
www.latimes.com/escape

What is ironic is that Pullum walked straight through the Main Facility Control area on his way out the employee entrance. This area is what is known as a "sallyport". It has sliding doors that allow entrance into the port "area" the doors close and another door opens to access the "non-secure" side. Many deputies observed this man walk out with an ID constructed of a Dr. Doolittle picture from the newspaper.

Sheriff Lee Baca, in "damage control" mode when on to claim that there had been no escapes since he became Sheriff. Well, the good Sheriff was forced to retract that statement as there have been 13 escapes since he has been in office.

A good question to ponder is can the Sheriff pass a polygraph?  He sure can't pull the wool over the media's eyes.

Probably not, as it sounds like the exalted Sheriff would not even meet the basic mental competence requirements to submit to a polygraph in the first place Wink

13 escapes eh .. Well, Sheriff, your work is cut out for ya...

Another note on your statement,

The "Good Sheriff" also wrote a letter to President Clinton urging him to pardon (which he did) a CONVICTED drug dealer named Carlos Vignali.  This guys dad also contributed to the "Good Sheriffs" campaign fund and to Clinton. The local Cardinal, Roger Mahoney , also wrote letter for this pardon.

Hey, who said "money can get you anything" must have a lot of it.
