For anyone facing a polygraph examination, please do yourself a very big favor and read Doug's manual. It is written by an expert who makes it easy to understand what must be done to be sure you get a fair test. I personally recommend it highly.

I just downloaded it and read it through.  It is very concise and easy to read.

I got it online at www.polygraph.com. ; It gives
pictoral examples of what the examiner sees when
a lie is detected and what to practice to be able
to reproduce a 'lie' on a control question.

Scared,

If your freedom is really at risk, the prudent course of action would be to refuse the polygraph.  Any lawyer worth his salt would never advise a client to sit for one, especially in a criminal case.  It's never too late to refuse.

You can find a detailed description of polygraph countermeasures in "The Lie Behind the Lie Detector" available for free at this website.  You may also want to visit Doug Williams website at: www.polygraph.com.  His manual can be downloaded immediately and costs about $50.  My recommendation would be to download both.
