Polygraph results? Opinions?

I took a polygraph recently with an agency where I failed one last year. I failed last year due to remember something about a drug question while hooked up to the machine which caused a reaction of course. This year I made sure to mention that specific detail along with anything else I could think of. After the polygraph she came into the room and said 'same thing as last year, what's going on?' I explained to her that I had a 100% clear conscience and that I told her the 2 things I was most nervous about regarding the drug question.

She said on 2 seperate occasions that she would put in her report that she thinks I would make a great candidate and she would put down what I was nervous about. She said ultimately it's up to the hiring agency and not her. She mentioned 1 more time that she would put that I would be a good candidate and said good luck. She never explicity said you passed or you failed. Did I pass do you think?

Based on your account, it seems like you didn't get a real post-test interrogation, which suggests that you passed. Hopefully, you'll be receiving good news soon.

Results came back inconclusive which equates to a fail according to the agency. Am I hurting my future job chances by having my 3rd polygraph not be a passing one?

Also, I know I disclosed everything to them and had a clear conscience after my pre test interview and yet my results were inconclusive. Any tips? I don't know what else to at this point.

Isn't it unusual for an agency to offer an applicant so many chances with the polygraph?   Huh

What do we call it when every employee of the Agency's Office of Security
and Office of Personnel drowns in the Potomac?   A great beginning!

It is, but I'm not surprised.  They play by their own rules and do whatever they want.  The Constitutional oversight for the Executive Branch belongs to Congress, or the Federal Courts.   Neither have stepped up to their responsibility to put an end to this totalitarian B.S.   I will forever advocate requiring attorneys in the U.S. to pass a polygraph exam in order to maintain their licenses to practice law.  Those self-serving, self-righteous hypocrites would put an end to the polygraph overnight.  Angry
