I'll post this again since it was lost in the outage last time.

I'm curious--what kind of access, if any, do state or local law enforcement agencies/background investigators have to an applicant's travel records if the applicant provides a passport number to the agency?  Is this information stored anywhere?  If so, would they be able to access it as part of a background?  Maybe it would require a lot of time and paperwork to get it; would it be practical for an agency to get it?  Does it depend on the agency?

Rome,
I recently came back from an international flight. While getting my questions from Immigration, I caught a glimpse of the screen he was looking at, and it had my arrival flight and my previous destinations. Every time you check in for an international flight, all your info is stored and transferred to the Dept. of Homeland Security. So, I am certain that all this information is available if someone should choose to look for it. I doubt if it is "pushed" to other agencies.

No, but I'm sure that all the 16 component agencies of the IC have full access to this data.  I'm also aware that the IC monitors applications for passports   as well! Shocked

What do we call it when every employee of the Agency's Office of Security
and Office of Personnel drowns in the Potomac?   A great beginning!

The best intelligence community employee is a compromised IC employee!
