wrote a long post about hubbys Supervised Release for first time porn conviction but i think it never refreshed.  i can go into specifics again if needed but basically this.

he has been on federal supervised release for 6 years.   completed the SO program.  Never took a poly during or after.  Is being asked to take one not as a maintanence probation condition/treatment but generally focused on if he has committed new crimes since being released.  was told that these are typical requirements with a person with these crimes.  and all he the po asks (the examiner?) is anything tegarding illegal porn or hands on since released.  All i i have read talks about maintanence exams for treatment and ensuring restrictions.  but this one appears to be a pull ya in and make sure your not committing new crimes.  


is this a standard cookie cutter type of test for SO on probation or is this hidden accusations looking for justification?  His PO gas been non intrusive for 6 years and is taking this as a buisness as usual approach.  Me playing devils advocate with hubby is telling him if this wasnt routine he wouldnt give him the info he looks for and certainly not give him weeks of heads up

thanks for your reply.  yeah i knew polys were common in these offenses.  what throws me is the questions he wants to know.  any illegal images or sexual contact with minors.  NOTHING about probation conditions ir treatment.   polygraph.org had a file describing types of exams.  one is maintance which asks the standard parole questions BUT the other is called Monitoring exam which asks the questions like he is asking and it says THOSE exams are triggered by suspicion the offender has committed a new crime.  The question types combined with the fact that he hasnt had an exam ONCE in 6 years makes me feel like they are accusing him of something and are doing the formalities for the big revokation
