Some interesting comments on polygraph policy are to be found in a recent post to Reddit's "Explain Like I'm Five" subreddit. See ELI5: Why do the FBI and CIA use polygraph ("lie detector") tests on their employees, if polygraph tests are considered pseudoscience and so unreliable that US courts don't allow them as evidence?

There are literally hundreds of posts.  I read many of them, and I could not find even one that was pro-polygraph.  I guess you and I (and other critics of polygraph testing) are finally countering the propaganda put out by the polygraph scam artists.  That, coupled with the abuse suffered by millions of people over the years, may finally put a stop to the insanity of using the polygraph as a "lie detector".

I have been fighting the thugs and charlatans in the polygraph industry for forty years.  I tell about my crusade against the insidious Orwellian polygraph industry in my book FALSE CONFESSIONS - THE TRUE STORY OF DOUG WILLIAMS' CRUSADE AGAINST THE ORWELLIAN POLYGRAPH INDUSTRY.  Please visit my website POLYGRAPH.COM and follow me on TWITTER @DougWilliams_PG
