Sorry for only posting "placeholder". The captcha didn't work when I tried several times to register, and I didn't want to type a whole message and have it not work.

Anyway, I encountered a testing format that was some variation of CQT that I hadn't encountered in the book, and wanted a little help understanding what was going on. I live in Tacoma, WA, btw.

The polygrapher said "The test is about to begin" at the beginning of each chart, but never said "The test is now concluding".  Other than the beginning announcement, there were no control questions at all. I employed my CM during the announcement, and maintained consistent breathing through the relevant questions, and I passed it. I was honest, but nonetheless feared failure.

Am I missing something, or did he really compare every relevant question solely to the beginning announcement?

It'd help if you could provide all the questions with the wording to the best of your memory.

Confused Subject,

I'd just repeat what Stefano said. If you could state as best you remember all the questions you were asked, it would help me to provide meaningful commentary. By the way, I received your PM. Feel free to send another PM if you'd rather not go into detail publicly.

I don't remember my password to this account or the e-mail I made it with.

Anyway, no. My memory is extraordinarily terrible. I'm lucky to remember what I have to do tomorrow, let alone the questions. I can say with 99% certainty that they were all relevant though. I read TLBTLD about 5 times, so I think I got it down. I wish I could give you more information because I really need your help, but I can't.

Is it possible that he was just comparing the relevant questions to each other, and if so, that consistent breathing alone allowed me to pass?

Or what are the odds that the baseline was just the "the test is about to begin" line?

I really appreciate you both being willing to help, but I don't remember the questions, especially not in any detail. I hope there still might be a solution.

Thank you

Without seeing the questions, I cannot even provide conjecture. If you were asked only relevant questions with irrelevant questions buffered on each side, it could have been the R/I format.

If you were simply asked as series of relevant questions, it would not fall under any recognized format in the polygraph technique. But, then again, many have given themselves license to do as they please in which case you are subject to their whim.

If you want effective feedback, you have to provide accurate details of the exact questions.
