Pre-Employment Border Patrol poly and the Military

10 months ago, I took and failed the pre-employment polygraph for the Border Patrol.  The event went like this:  Take, fail, admit to some drug use from a decade ago, take fail the drug use question again (along with some nice accusations about possible involvement with a felony.)  I had then and currently have a Secret level clearance and was serving in a military police company.

I am looking to go back into active duty.  The job I need has a Secret-level clearance for it.  Looking over my entrance forms, I said NO to the drug use question at MEPS.  Now, I realize that this is a huge error on my part, but it's done.

My concern is this: Will, for a Secret Level, the background check look at the pre-employment polygraph results with the border patrol and what I said to the polygrapher?  My clearance was not pulled after I took the test earlier this year, but I'd like to be sure.  Thank you in advance.

I was just wondering how this all worked out for you. I'm in the very same boat. I'm preparing to submit all the paperwork for border patrol (just received word that I passed the written exam) but didn't want to continue if it were to jeopardize my standing in the military at all (Im in security forces as well).
