My Story is a LONG one. But I'm afraid to post too much on here.  Basic background is that my daughter accused my ex husband of molesting her. I wholeheartedly believe her. There is evidence that SOMEONE has definitely molested her.  Ex's visitation was taken away. He took polygraph and passed it. He immediately got visitation back. (he is a very good liar, to the point of being a pathological liar) he turned around and put the blame on someone else in MY Family.  So they took custody away from me and gave it to my ex (even though I don't live with the new person accused, who by the way is someone who would NEVER do this).  The new accused took 2 polygraphs and passed both with flying colors.  They said there is no way he could have hurt my daughter.
I was asked to take a polygraph to answer questions about coaching my daughter about what to say and who to accuse and to see if I was protecting anyone, which I am NOT. I have extensive medical history including numerous surgeries in recent years.
I took polygraph and the reading was showing an extra heart beat. An extra diastolic beat were his exact words. I was accused of posibly trying to trick the Poly or apply CM's which I was not doing. I have nothing to hide. I went to doc to be released and have things checked out. He said it was PVC's caused by stress. The examiner really tried to stress me out and upset me prior to hooking me up and starting the test.  He was not very nice and accused me of having someone that I was protecting.
He rescheduled the test for after I would be release by a doc, and I have been released now and will be retaking the test at somepoint. I just want to get it over with. I have nothing to hide, and want to vindicate myself. I don't see how they can say I am protecting my family member when he himself passed the test and it was proved he did nothing to my daughter. So, How can I be protecting HIM? what could I be protecting HIM from? geesh...
SO my questions are?
DOes anyone have any advice on how I can relax? and not be so nervous so I don't have the consistent PVC's again? I am a very sensitive person and everything, I mean everything gets to me.  You can look at me cross eyed and I will cry and spill my guts (if I had anything to spill!!!!)
Has this happened to anyone else?
What can I do?
Again, I have nothing to hide, so I don't need to try to "cheat" or "trick" the polygraph in anyway... I just want to make sure it finally gives me an accurate reading. There is soooooo much riding on this..
Thanks

Relaxing won't necessarily help you pass the polygraph. Polygraphy has no scientific basis to begin with, and it's inherently biased against the truthful. You'll find more on polygraph procedure and how to reduce the risk of a second false positive (wrongly failing when you're telling the truth) in our free book, The Lie Behind the Lie Detector, which you can download here:

http://antipolygraph.org/lie-behind-the-lie-detector.pdf

While I encourage you to educate yourself about polygraphy, I also think it would be unwise to subject yourself to another polygraph interrogation. Polygraphy is simply not reliable (as your own experience demonstrates). And it certainly should not be relied upon to determine the truth regarding such serious matters as allegations of child molestation.
