The other day I was speaking with someone who was told by (I'm assuming) the police agency he was applying to or his recruiting officer of that agency, that antipolygraph.org is a government ran organization put together to catch or detect people looking to understand or pass the polygraph. I was taken back by this because I never mentioned anything about this website. I only asked how his hiring process was going, which of course ended with his bad poly.He did not lie about anything, Just another victom.
needless to say he was upset at his bad poly. He has now gone online looking at information about the polygraph. he is still avoiding antipolygraph.org due to his suspicion about the site.
Has anyone out there ever heard this about antipolygraph.org before? is this what law enforcement agencys are telling there applicants. Roll Eyes
I must admit it made me a bit nerves at frist. but i guess thats what there're trying to do.

I have not heard of any law enforcement agency telling applicants that AntiPolygraph.org is a government-run sting site. (It isn't.)

I would be interested to know more about the provenance of the allegation that your acquaintance heard.

Of course antipolygraph.org is not a government run website. The factions of the government who utilize polygraph exams don't want you finding out the truth about them. Whoever told him that was pretty much admitting that the polygraph is unreliable, because if reading about it online had no effect, then they wouldn't care if you looked it up or not. The fact is, if you do your homework you can pass a polygraph, no matter if you are telling the truth or not (which is one reason that the poly is unreliable), and also if you don't do your homework and you just go in there trusting in the process you may be declared a liar, no matter if you are telling the truth or not. It is definately worth spending some time researching the process before you go in there.

If you are worried about people finding out your identity when you visit webpages, just use an anonymous proxy. Google it - they are free and easy to use.
