Where can I find information on the pre-employment polygraph policy for the Dept. of Homeland security?  Do they use CI/ Full Scope or none at all?

As you'll recall, DHS was put together in an ad hoc fashion shortly after the events of September 11, 2001. The U.S. Border Patrol has begun polygraphing some applicants and eventually plans to polygraph all. While we haven't received confirmation, it's likely that they are also using the LEPET.

By contrast, other DHS component agencies such as the Coast Guard and Transportation Safety Administration do not have a pre-employment polygraph requirement.

As a federal contractor, it is certainly conceivable that you might eventually be asked to work on a project that would require your consent to polygraph screening. But polygraph screening is not necessarily a requirement for being granted a higher level security clearance.
