	Sackett- I read that you work with the LVMPD. I grew up in Vegas and I want nothing more than to be a police officer in the LVMPD. I am a good, honest person and I have no intention of lying to the department about anything in my past. In fact, I have already taken the written test (which I passed) and PHQ which I answered honestly and failed. I was hoping it was only due to the recency of marijuana usage (the last time I smoked it was just under two years from the time of the test). My main concern though, was that I did acid twice and ate magic mushrooms three times in high school (more than 5 years ago). I heard that the use of any halucinogen is grounds for permanent DQ. Is this true? Should I abandon my dream of becoming a cop and pursue a different career? I would really appreciate an honest and straightforward answer. Thank you. -LVguy

While you may have turned your drugging ways around, the fact is, that most police departments do have choices as to who they want to hire, and why would they want to hire you when there are other equally qualified applicants who have not used drugs in the manner you have? I wouldn't hire you.
