Ronald,

I'm not going to get into a debate about your guilt or innocence.  I will tell you that no decent law enforcement agency or prosecutor is going to accept a defense sponsored polygraph test.  It doesn’t matter who runs the test.  And if you go to John Grogan, holy shit, you deserve what you get.  I hope he bends you over the table and rams his pneumo tubes so far up your ass you can’t see.  The guy doesn't know the difference between a polygraph and a pickle, but he sure knows how to get your money and run.  Check the judgments against him.  So if you're going to spend your money, spend it on someone that at least the polygraph profession has some respect for.  Even then, the results will be meaningless until you pass a police sponsored and run test.  I've run too many test after a defense sponsored test determined the examinee was non deceptive and I find them to be deceptive, and they confess to their involvement or are convicted in court.  You want my opinion, listen to your lawyer.  Did you hear me!  I said listen to your lawyer!  If you can't pass a defense sponsored test using countermeasures, which you have already tried, you won't pass a police sponsored test.  Are you aware that some research has shown that honest people who employ countermeasures have more problems than honest people who do not?  There are two fields of thought in your situation.  One is, don't submit to a police sponsored polygraph test.  (That’s right, I’m a law enforcement officer telling you this).  The other is, go ahead and take it.  It can't be used as evidence against you in court, or for you if you pass.  But, if you pass, the police might lay off.  There is one other thought you need to consider.  If you’re guilty, do not submit to a police sponsored test.  It will probably be your doom!  The problem is, if you are guilty and submit to the test, you might say something against your self interest, and you can bet that information will be used against you in court.  I do it all the time and enjoy every minute of it.  And since I record all my tests, there is no dispute as to what was said.  Your plan of blurting out that you passed a polygraph test (or two) on the stand will probably backfire and there may very well be a mistrial.
