Confused about the scoring?

I recently took a polygraph and scored a Seven and Eight on two questins that I failed. What does this mean?
Do they also score the control question the same way. It is confusing to me because from what i understand you fail if you react more to the relevant then the control. If you use coutermeasure and produce a seven or eight on the control question how do they gage the relevant?
