My local Sheriff Department, like many jurisdictions across the country, (1) uses polygraphy for screening applicants and (2) is led by a Sheriff who must stand for election and is accountable to the electorate.

I was going to contact all of the candidates for their position on using polygraphy.  Has someone written a sample letter that would be good for soliciting information on the candidates' views and informing them of the issue?
