Why were you interrogated?  Were you detained as a suspect by police or were you applying for employment?  What you experienced after the CVSA test was a post-interrogation.  If a post-interrogation is administered that usually indicates you did not pass the exam.  The detectives were trying to find out of you had stolen something.  CVSA exams have higher failure rates than polygraphs.  Like the polygraph, the CVSA exam has also branded many innocent examinees as liars.  In fact, the CVSA test is much worse at accusing honest people as liars than the polygraph.  The CVSA and polygraph are touted as being able to catch liars at an almost 100% accuracy rate.  Read through this site and you will find out that is not true.  Again, there are many innocent people who have had their reputations damaged because of these exams.  Final note, if the CVSA exam was given as part of a criminal investigation you may need to consult an attorney to see if this interrogation could be held against you.

Magnetar - is a neutron star with an extremely strong magnetic field, the decay of which powers the emission of copious amounts of high-energy electromagnetic radiation, particularly X-rays and gamma-rays. Wikipedia.org (2006)

I was a suspect in the investigation on some stolen car stareo equiptment.  I was home in bed with my wife when this was going on. I'am trying to figure out Y this Machine that the det. said "can tell a lie from the truth."
Lied an said I told a lie. I was brought in for questioning the agreed to take the test because I have nothing to hide. The CVCA said I was lie so they told me. And started drilling me for info. I had nothing to tell them. When I asked if I was free to go they showed me out.

Was this a intimedation tactic or something.

MoMan,

The CVSA has no scientific basis whatsoever. It has not been shown through peer-reviewed research to reliably detect stress, let alone deception. Like the polygraph, it is a quack device used by interrogators as a psychological rubber hose to obtain confessions.

The "National Institute of Truth Verification," the Florida company that manufactures and markets CVSA, has admitted in court that it "is not capable of lie detection."

As you are suspected of a felony crime by investigators who are using junk science to direct their investigation, I think you would be wise not to speak with any police investigator again without a lawyer present.

George W. Maschke,

Thank for the heads up. I have contacted an Att. he has advised me to call if needed.  And that the Det. was just trying to get a confession from me at that I actually might have passed the test. (he is checking into it.) They we're just grasping at strews.
I'm probally the only suspect they have.
