Did you take the camera?

By not allowing them to Poly you it sure does make you look guilty.

Easy way out is to consult a lawyer.  He will advise you not to allow the polygraph to be used on you.  Your excuse is now "my lawyer will not allow me to take this"

I'll say it once again for everyone.  Criminals use lawyers with great success on a daily basis.  Cops should learn to do the same.

Whether you can be forced to submit to a polygraph examination or not will depend on your state law. In some states, like Minnesota, a public employee cannot be forced to submit to a polygraph examination. However, in many states, law enforcement employees may be fired for refusing to submit to a polygraph "test."

I fully concur with Dimas' suggestion that you consult a lawyer regarding this.

I did not take the camera but I am afraid other questions will be asked. I have fallen asleep on the job, not for more than 10 minutes.. I leave the dispatch office to use the restroom for a  few minutes at a time.. which i am not supposed to do... I am wondering if I should just take the test and try the CM's.. I am afraid i am just going to get called in one day and they will say here is so and so, he is going to give you a polygraph now.. At any point can I just say, NO, i did not take the camera but I want to speak to a lawer???

Consult a lawyer first.

I like the Attorney Advice, they will never let a client take a polygraph. Unless it is done by their request, and if you fail then it is privileged information and not subject to review by anyone, and if you pass they would let that out of course

Federal law is 48 hours notice to any polygraph test, they cant not just spring it on you.
