I Can't Believe This!

???

Well, I purchased a manual on passing a vsa and it did not work!  There goes $30 down the drain....

I took a pre-employment cvsa earlier this evening and the examiner told me that I showed deception on the following questions:

Do You or Have You Taken Drugs and/or Alcohol during work hours?

I answered no bec I do not use drugs or alcohol, especially at work!

Have you ever taken evidence for your own personal use or not turned in any evidence?

How ludicrious is this?  I am the most honest person you will meet and I have some test saying I took evidence!

I am furious!

How could I have passed the drug questions (I told the truth, I don't use drugs) and not passed the drug use at work question?

I have never ever ever in my time as a cop destroyed any type of evidence or taken it for my own use.  I was insulted by this.

So, after crying and being mad, because the examiner did not tell me if I passed or failed, I may lose my chance at getting back into my career due to some
fu!@@*ng machine!

What is my recourse here.  I told the damn truth!

I am not going to be able to sleep until I know if I still have a chance at becomming a cop again.  I have sacrificed so much of my life to become an officer, and now this...something needs to be done about the inaccuracies of this type of test....oooooo  I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo MAD...

You still have no idea whether or not you failed, so I would just rest easy until then.

Also, you mention you were a cop or are? either way you have never heard of interviewing techniques to have people confess?  Kind of like telling a suspect his partner just 'fessed up to what happened and that he is blaming him for everything in hopes that he will admit guilt as well?

If you do in fact not pass then I am sure that the department has some sort of grievance or appeal process in which you can address this and ask to be retested.

Good luck
