Please read.  truly unique situation.

I have been eye balling this sight since June.  Like many others I have applied for several county level agencies with hopes of employment in law enforcement. My first exposure was to the CVSA which came up as abnormal. I found this wierd because i read and was told by my background investigator that abnormal results were imposible on the CVSA. I payed it no mind because I was then scheduled for a psych evaluation and my medical which are the last steps b4 a final job offer with that agency.
Well today I took the poly for another agency and two questions popped up Spousal abuse and sex crimes.  Oh well, the test is trash and I some what expected this due to my Backgound application.
Here is the god part. The polygrapher went to the results from my CVSA that was administered by another agency for another agency and the report he read on me was totally different then what the CVSA examiner told me. My original abnormal results changed to distress to sex crimes and soliciting for sex. It also read that I terminated the CVSA and refused to answer any further questions. Totally the opposite of what happened. Lastly it was considered that I may be terminated from the process. This is odd to me because right now I am waiting for a final job ofer from this very same agency who sent this disturbing information to another agency. WTF?

Wow that does suck, and I did not know that the agency would have the other agencies results of the CVSA.  Could you elaborate how this would have happened and if you don't mind what area of the country did this happen?  You can send a private message to my box if you would like..........

Some agencies will share background information. I know from my background investigation they wanted to know what agencies I applied with, and what agencies I made it to the background investigation stage. They then want to know why you were not hired by agency X and sometimes they check with that agency to verify. Just another background tool to weed applicants out, if you were DQ'd by one agency they defintley want to know why (i.e. polygraph results and admissions made during it, to compare to their polygraph or CVSA personal history statement for validity).

I cna understand that they might share info, but the part about me abruptly ending the CVSA is total garbage. I stayed and answered questions for at least 40 minutes after the test. He had a chance to go over the results and interogate me. YOu can't even leave the building without a police escort because it is a secure facility. Its ironic that a grown man gives me a test for lie detection (to some degree, as far as I am concerned its a glorified stress test) and turn around and lie about the results and what happend afterward to another agency.

A post-test interrogation is a good indication that you did not pass the CVSA.

Here is my concern, they lied on me for no reason.  If I failed the CVSA or poly (you can not fail the poly or CVSA it is a machine of measurement with no definate cut off score, by definition you can't fail)  thats one thing, but their discription of the events that took place after that were totally inacurate. They recorded the event and i am sure the playback of my results would support my desription of the events that followed.
I have one question that I hope someone can answer why would a department keep processing you, but indicate to another department that you are in the process of being terminated? It doesn't make sense and my BI didn't realy want to explain the events either.

They may be fishing for more information to DQ you on rather then just your polygraph results alone. It would help if they could substantiate their claims through other means (i.e. uncovering information through your B.I.). Just a thought though.

Amazing. Well I know that my blood works will come back clean, unless they switched my urine and blood samples. I have never done drugs.  The last time i took a drink was in mid september and I had the blood works Oct. 7.
If they do not find any more info to DQ me then what? Is given me the DQ only going to be predicated on my CVSA or is that to risky?

From what I have heard majority of agencies will DQ you from your polygraph or CVSA results alone. It may not be possible for them to uncover such information such as prior drug use. Again there may be exeptions to this, although I have never heard of anyone getting an LE job after failing a poly or CVSA. Hopefully someone else will be able to shed some light on the subject who has more information. If they do state that you failed make sure you file an appeal with the agency to document that you contest the results.
