FBI Appeal

I recently applied for a support position with the FBI and went through all the required steps.  As it goes I recieved a letter indicating that my polygraph results did not met their criteria.  My question is where should I send my appeal letter to?  Should it be addressed to someone specfic in D.C. or to my local FBI office?

Thanks

While in The Lie Behind the Lie Detector we have suggested sending such letters to the FBI director at headquarters, Fair Chance (a longtime registered user on this message board) has suggested that such letters be sent to one's applicant coordinator (AC). You might try this latter approach first, and should you receive no response, then send a letter to Director Mueller.

Dear Marko,

I would send the appeal letter to the address of the person who signed your letter that you "were not within acceptable parameters."  This is nomally an address in Washington, D.C..  Slowly go up the chain of command any you will end with the Director.  Should you not get results at that point, you have nothing to lose by contacting your senator and local representatives.

Someone has got to stop the madness.

Regards.

Marko,

It seems I misremembered Fair Chance's advice. His suggestion of sending your letter of appeal to the person whose signature appears on the rejection letter makes good sense.

The same thing happened to me.  I sent a letter to the applicant coordinator, and am still waiting on a reply from that letter.

I'm in the same boat... got my rejection letter earlier in the week anfter applying for a support position and failing the poly.  I even knew people in the inside of the FBI who told me polys were crap and they felt bad that I failed.  I'm going to send a rejection letter ASAP.  Mind you I wouldn't work for them under any circumstances but I want to clear my good name.  Keep us posted on your situation.
