Just found out a couple days ago that I did not received my TS Agency clearance. Said I would know the reasons within about 45 days.
My company security contact said I could appeal this decision.  Would this be effective? I never met with an adjudicator after the poly... guess they didnt like "something".  If anyone knows what chance I would have on an appeal I would be most appreciative.  Also, what happens during an appeal?

If this is for NSA access, the NSA grants SCI access,
while the DoD/DSS grants the TS clearance.  There is
no such thing as an agency TS clearance.  The NSA
only sponsers the TS.  But be careful what you
admit to, because the NSA wil send all derogatory 
information back to the DSS for review.  To give you
an idea what dealing with the NSA polygraphers is
like, I just interviewed for a position, and the
company's SSO security officer told me that one of their
employees had been accused of being a
"drug abusing whore", during the NSA polygraph.  My
polygrapher told me that I had admitted into looking
at pornography (which I never had admitted to) and 
that he does and masturbates.  There are a lot of
disfunctional people at the NSA, and the polygraphers
are no exception.  There is a world of difference
between getting interviewed by the DSS (who are very
professional) and being interrogated by the NSA.  The
polygraphers play either the good guy, or the
bad guy routine.  I had one pound his fist down on the
table and said, "test over !".  All I could do, was to
laugh to myself.  Just as I was told by someone
close, I would leave the NSA someday, through personal
growth, and not feel the need to be controlled, in such
a disfunctional environment.
