I would like to here how long the "in test" (how long you are actually connected to the box) has been for those that have taken the FBI polygraph.

Undesirable Candidate,

"Anyone" was referring only to the "in-test" phase, during which the polygraph charts are collected. There are two question series. The first is about counterintelligence issues, and the second is about use or sale of illegal drugs and the completeness of one's application.  Each question series consists of about 10-12 questions, with about 20 seconds between questions. Thus, each series should take about five minutes.

The polygraph attachments may well be left attached between series, but if so, the air in the pressure cuff will be released. If the pneumo tubes are left attached between question series, bear in mind that they might still be recording your breathing.

For more on the procedure, see the DoDPI Law Enforcement Pre-Employment Test examiner's guide.

As I said: I was connected to the box for 2 (two) hours. Not all of it "in test" phase. I would guesstimate probably 45 minutes to an hour total, since MULTIPLE charts were run.

Undesireable

P.S. I'm scheduled for a second polygraph soon. I'll post when it's over.
