Sacraficial relevent quetions

In a specific incident test regarding sexual fiedelity how should one handle a question like:

Do you intend to lie on this polygraph?

or

Have you been completely truthful?

or

Have you answered all these questions truthfully?

Control or relevent question? Produce reaction or not?

You must know that the advice you get on this website is either from a bunch of anonymous idiots who love to give advice but know nothing, or from ole George who has failed every test he has ever taken and has never used countermeasures himself.

I see you did not move to exclude yourself from that demographic.

Wow, Fed-up Fed, does this mean you don't think I am an idiot because I don't post with anonymity?

Gee, here I was thinking I had gained respect through sound arguments and stronge personal values, and now I find out it is only becasue I am not anonymous.

How simple it must be to gain respect as a Fed!

no poly,

Lest anyone should think your post above was sarcastic (since I had not yet posted in this message thread), perhaps I should note that I replied to the private e-mail that you sent me on this topic. Smiley

The questions no poly asked about, "Do you intend to lie on this polygraph (examination)?" and "Have you been completely truthful?" are relevant, not "control" questions, and one would not want to augment one's reactions to them. Note that these questions are commonly used as "sacrifice" relevant questions and are not scored.

Note also, however, that in a technique called the "General Question Test" (GQT) such questions served as "concealed controls" in what otherwise appears to be a relevant/irrelevant format. The GQT was used by the U.S. Government for screening purposes. It is no longer taught at DoDPI and most persons facing a polygraph examination are unlikely to encounter it.

wuzzafuzz and all you other pro-poly radicals out there,

Geo should be commended and I'll tell you a story to illustrate why:

Six years ago I agreed to take a serise of tests to prove my fiedelity to my spouse.  Unfortunately, I ended up with a crooked examiner who failed me on my second test I took with him when I was actually telling the truth. After I told him I was telling him the truth he asked for $500 to clear me. Stupid me I gave it to him. This should have been the first clue, but I did learn and went back for another periodic test. Guess what happend next-failed polygraph when I was telling the truth. This time I didn't have $500 to give him and I left pissed off. Wife left me, until I went to another examiner and passed.

This time I was not going to take a chance. Read Georges book and passed with no problem. Thanks to George to exposing the polygraph for the fraud it actually is. If it wasn't for these idiots like the one I got burned by then George would not have to help coach guys like me to get a fair shake.

And by the way I'm not some pervert either, I'm just a regular guy that doesn't want his life ruined by some hypocracy of a joke called a lie detector.

Thanks again George!!!!

Fed-up Fed,

First, you try to convince "no poly" that he should ignore that which is said on AntiPolygraph.org because it comes from "anonymous idiots who love to give advice but know nothing" or from me, who " failed every test [I have] ever taken and [have] never used countermeasures [myself]."

Then, after no poly reports having successfully employed countermeasures, you reproach me, saying, "Looks like you helped another pervert avoid justice."

Then, after no poly explains the circumstances surrounding his polygraph examination, you blithely proclaim, "The blind leading the blind and all cheer as they fall in the ditch.  What a bunch of losers. "

You have not provided any rational arguments whatsoever here, only taunts and catcalls. Perhaps you are "fed-up" simply because we are telling the plain truth about polygraphy and there is nothing you can do to stop it?  Wink

How articulate and insightful, fed-up. Here I thought that feds were dull and uninspired. Go figure

Losers?....hmm...seems to me that the real "Losers" here are pro-poly people. They are the ones "losing" credibility, jobs etc. The more this fraud is exposed, the more ground you pretenders "lose" in the face of education.

Take care,
PK

no poly,

I hope that you'll consider helping to put an end to the polygraph fraud by sharing what you have learned here with others. Do you participate in any other Internet discussion forums? If so, you might mention AntiPolygraph.org. The polygraph "profession" depends on public ignorance for its survival. Sunlight is the best disinfectant.

No Poly,

Many congrats on 'passing' your polygraph examination.  I have no "insightful" advice but I do have a question?  Why does your wife have you "take a series of tests to prove my (your) fiedelity"?

Now I could understand if maybe you stryed once and now your wife told you to put up or shut up so to speak as it pertained to your fiedelity, but a "series of tests"?

Either you had a little trouble keeping the old Johnson behind locked doors, or you're enrolled in some sort of 'periodic' testing program like the ones used for sexual offenders.  Hmmmmm....

Well, I guess you answered it when you stated, "And by the way I'm not some pervert either, I'm just a regular guy that doesn't want his life ruined by some hypocracy of a joke called a lie detector."

Maybe your life started down the path of ruin when you did whatever it was that made your wife distrust you to this point.

Ah well, ain't love grand!

Batman,

As you have from essentially your first post, you make assertions, draw conclusions, and cast aspersions based on a complete and total lack of any evidence.  I truly do look forward to your posts, because without them those who read this site would not have any direct knowledge of the close mindedness and prejudging of circumstances that goes on with those who occupy polygraph suites.  For that continued insight we thank you...
