I am being accused of a sex offence. I am schealed for a poly on, 8-01-02.
My question is, when I went to talk to the detective, after all the questioning. He told me that he could have something signed and send his officers to my house, take my computer, search the house and take anything else of interest. While I was sitting there.
But never went through with it. Also, when this incident supposedly happened my son and daughter were on the couch when this incident happened. I kept bring it up to the detective that my son was awake to verify that nothing happened. After beating around the bush the detective finely said,” Well, there are some things in the case that I can't bring up right now." I'm sitting there think to myself, hookah.
The detective also went through the whole routine saying, that there were holes in my story and that the poly can tell if I'm lying or not. Trying to get to to confess to a crime that I didn't in anyway comet. To tell you the truth he was very intimidating.
Does the police department not have any real evidence against me and are relying on the poly? Or maybe my son verified that nothing went on that night? Can I still back out of the poly even though I agreed to take it? What if I back out of it ??? I just really want this to be over with ASAP so I can see my kids again. I have not seen them for almost a month now and it is just killing me, I can't express myself enough. And I feel really insulted that these charges were even brought up, when I was the one that brought up the mater in the first place. I would like to get some thoughts.
The only reason why I want to back out of the poly is from some of the information that I read on this site. In no way am I saying I'm guilty!!! And I don't want people to think that. I just don't want to waste my time going through the whole routine just to have the man behind the Curtin deciding my fate.
P.S I am going through a divorce and herd through a family member' that my soon to be EX said,"She wants full caducity of the kids and will do anything to get it."
